Dazzling Benefit Performance &
Silent Auction Extravaganza!

Gifford Family Theatre's productions and educational programming

The benefit performance will be a 60-70 minute show reprising many of the Gifford Family Theatre's previous productions. The cast numbers over 35 and includes many familiar and well-respected adult and student actors from the CNY theater community. Adult performers include Wit's End Artistic Director David Witanowski, Mike Komurek and Lilli Komurek (the former Lilli Melnikow), John Davies, Doug Rogeux, Michael and Susan Barbour from the Le Moyne theater faculty, Beth Schmidt, JP Crangle, Sonita Surratt, Gifford Family Theatre Artistic Director Steve Braddock and many more. Student actors include Andy Pollock, Jesse and Fiona Barbour, Peter Day, Hali Greenhouse, Danielle Nash, Chloe Tiso, Ellen Paperone, Jackie Wladis, Casey Whyland (who performed as Tessie in the touring company of "Annie") and even more.

The Silent Auction will feature 50 items, including Broadway memorabilia donated by Bernadette Peters, including a marcasite brooch she wore on Broadway in "Gypsy" in a signed gift box and signed Playbill and CDs; a three-night stay at the Curry Mansion Inn in Key West, Florida; a "Behind the Scenes" Visit with Bruce Coville's audiobook company Full Cast Audio; a tuition-only scholarship to Open Jar Production's Summer Institute in NYC for high school students or college students; a Backstage VIP Tour and Taping of "Bridge Street with Rick and Julie" at WSYR-TV and an answering message recorded by the hosts for your home answering machine; a 45-minute performance by The Bubble Man for groups, schools or parties; and much more.

Tickets for the benefit are $75 in advance and may be obtained by calling 445-4230.

AUDITION - Rumors BTG

Baldwinsville Theatre Guild will be holding auditions for "Rumors" on December 13, 14 & 15th at the Presbyterian Education Center located at 64 Oswego St. in Baldwinsville from 7pm-9pm on the 13th and 14th and 1pm-3pm on the 15th.  See http://www.baldwinsvilletheatreguild.org/ for more details.

Show dates are Feb. 29, March 1, 7, 8, 9, 14 & 15, 2008.

5 females and 5 males ages 25 - 60 will be cast.  Everyone will read from a script. 

Neil Simon's "Rumors" is a gut-busting, door-slamming anniversary party interrupted by a missing wife, lawyer cover-up, and a flesh wound. The four couples, dressed to the nines, arrive and soon nobody can remember who has said what about whom. Hilarity abounds as the couples get more and more frenzied and confused.

Character Descriptions

Ken Gorman - a lawyer; a spin doctor

Chris Gorman - a lawyer; a bundle of nerves

Lenny  Ganz - Accountant; hungry; whiplash

Claire Ganz - society woman; a gossip

Ernie Cusack - Analyst - The most level headed

Cookie Cusack - cooking show host; bad back

Glenn Cooper - running for office; image aware

Cassie Cooper - insecure and jealous wife

Officer Welch - has seen and heard it all

Officer Pudney - younger female officer
